GGPEN specialist admitted to the Drone Academy and Africa data

AAAfrican Drone and Data Academy is a new academy sponsored by UNICEF, operated by Virginia Tech in partnership with University of Science and Technology of Malawi (MUST). With its first campus located in Lilongwe, Malawi, the Drone & Data Academy offers technology education to African graduate students in flight physics for drones, communications, mechatronics, autonomy, data analysis, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and entrepreneurship.

Within the scope of the selection process for participation in the said Course, an Angolan and GGPEN specialist (National Space Program Management Office), Atanilson Cachinjumba, graduated in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Manchester. Born in the province of Bié, he attended high school in Informatics at the National Institute of Telecommunications (ITEL)

The course will start on the 28th of this month and end on the 30th of October this year. The classes will be taught, in a 1st phase, via teleconference, where three chapters will be addressed: Basic aspects about drones, logistics and drone planning, and Drone data, GIS and analysis.
