The exposure of personal data on receipts issued by the Interbank Services Company (EMIS), from Automatic Payment Terminals (TPA) is worrying the Data Protection Agency (APD).
This information has been revealed in an official note, where the director of the APD Legal Office, Njunjulo António, stresses that “there is no legal basis for information such as the person's name to appear on payment slips, a fact that could expose the private life of their holders".
BUT: Public managers enlightened about personal data protection
Alternatively, to replace personal information on receipts, Njunjulo António pointed out the attribution of codes to users.
