O Facebook officially published its “Community Standards'” which contains the rules that users must follow in order not to be banned from the social network or have their publications removed from the platform.

The social network Facebook released on Tuesday, 24, a document with the guidelines used by the company led by Mark Zuckerberg to decide whether or not a publication should be removed from the site after being published by one of its 2,13 billion users.

The guidelines are used by Facebook to define what is hate speech, terrorism, pedophilia or nudity, for example. The document is used as a reference in all countries where Facebook acts and has been translated into 40 languages. According to Facebook, there are teams at 11 company offices around the world researching how the social network should address these issues.

What should not be published on Facebook?

In general, images considered strong are commonly barred. Cannibalism, violence, beatings, mutilation, blood, dead people, explicit nudity and, of course, pornography are vetoed.

The company defines that organizations and individuals engaged in terrorism, serial killings, hate groups, trafficking in persons or organized crime should not participate in Facebook.

Another restriction is on the sale of regulated products, such as drugs and drugs. The social network does not allow people or manufacturers to market this type of product through the social network.

Already in cases of nudity, there begins the controversy. Many artists (photographers, models, etc.) work with nudity and need Facebook to publicize their work. In such cases, the way is to censor the intimate parts of the images, so that the user can publicize his work without unnecessarily exposing nakedness to the platform's general public.

Photos of naked children are also banned on the social network, even when they are published by the child's parents in recreational situations because of the potential for abuse by others.

When content is taken off the air, people can send an email with a complaint, but there is no set deadline for return, nor an obligation for Facebook to respond to the request. According to Facebook, the publication will be restored if the team understands there was an error in its removal.
