"Email authentication helps users and security systems, helps fight spam and helps brands build trustexplain to Google.

The feature should be available to all users by the end of this week. Business account administrators can start configuring now this option for your brands.

Contrary to what happens on Twitter, it will not be possible to buy this “blue check”, since it only serves to guarantee the identity of a user.

This system is part of a package of identity symbols that Google has been implementing with the aim of making its ecosystem a safer and more reliable space. Brand Indicators for Message Identification, or BIMI, also allows authentication of logos to counteract forged images used by malicious senders.
