Google Play now lets you test some games without downloading or installing

In order to have greater access and make it easier for its users, Google introduced the Google Play Instant, a Play Store feature that allows players to test certain games on Android devices without downloading or installing them.

What does this mean?

This means that the user does not need to clear valuable storage space to try out a new game.

The feature that is still in beta is already active on Play Store from Google. If you want to test, you may see a partial list of supported games here on the page Instant Gameplay. Here is the complete list so far:

  • Clash Royale;
  • Words with Friends 2;
  • Bubble Witch 3 Saga;
  • Final Fantasy XV: A new empire;
  • Lonely;
  • Mighty Battles

There are also confirmations from Google Play product managers, Jonathan Karmel e Benjamin Frenkel, who gave assurances that the company is working with several developers to make more games available throughout the year.

It is important to point out that experiences vary from game to game and the Play Instant option does not allow users to play the entire game. For example, Final Fantasy XV: A new empire shows a quick battle that lasts for a few seconds, while the Bubble Witch 3 Saga features some full levels. After trying a game, users have the option to install the game or just quit.

Is this a good option for Google?
