The Executive Seminar on Digital Government took place this Friday (07), organized by Institute of Administrative Modernization (IMA) and promoted by the governments of the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Estonia, within the framework of the two-day visit that the Estonian President, Alan Karis, makes to the country.

According to the organization, the event represents a milestone in strengthening the bilateral relationship between Angola and Estonia and sought to put into debate several topics of interest for the process of improving and modernizing Public Administration, with emphasis on the digitalization and interoperability of Public Administration.

Having as its main objective the “Digital Government at the Service of National Development”, it addressed crucial issues for the modernization of Public Administration, including digital public infrastructure, the interoperability of Public Administration and the improvement of the provision of public services for citizens and companies.

It should be noted that Estonia is helping Angola in matters of blue economy and green technology – to protect the oceans –, as part of cooperation between the two countries, according to that country's ambassador to Africa, Daniel Schaer.

Estonia is one of the main countries supporting digital transition in Angola, stating that it will reduce time and cost to the citizen, providing only the service that is considered necessary, in addition to adding value and, above all, ensuring that the citizen finds a safe and cohesive service.
