O Instagram announced a new tool – called Backdrop – for Stories that allows you to create backgrounds via Artificial Intelligence Generative (AI).
The news was announced by Meta's head of generative AI, Ahmad Al-Dahle, in a post shared on Threads. However, the executive notes that this tool is currently only present in the USA.
To use Backdrop, users just have to upload a photo and press the icon dedicated to this functionality, at the top of the screen. This will cause the original background of the photo to be removed, with users being able to describe the background they want via text.
Note that, if you decide to use this functionality in your Stories, followers will know you used an AI tool as it will be properly identified.
