The National Telecommunications Institute of Brazil (INATEL) will train a wide range of Angolan professionals, starting this year, in a postgraduate course in the area of technology.

According to what the INATEL representative, Leonardo Maia, revealed at the end of a visit to the Angolan Telecommunications Institute (ITEL), the training is part of the recent renewal of the cooperation protocol between INATEL and the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), as part of the Angotic2023.

The specialist also informed that the agreement, which at the moment does not have a time horizon or exact number of people to be trained, will, at first, take place in Angola with two postgraduate classes of 30 to 40 students with a degree in the area, with Brazilian and Angolan teachers trained in Brazil.

BUT: Angolan technology sector is experiencing “fast growth”

The partnership between INATEL and MINTTICS also includes training, engineering, master's and doctoral degrees for Angolan students in Brazil, as well as advisory services for the implementation of digital television and the implementation of 5G technology, consultancy and work in entrepreneurship.

For this reason, he considered it important to renew the partnership, as it covered several areas of technology such as digital television, advanced regulation in telecommunications and 5G technology, with the new areas of communication technologies.

He pointed out that this partnership could involve, on the other hand, professionals from INACON, from MINTTICS, telecommunications operators and students from ITEL.
