Last night Apple unveiled its new iOS for all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch owners. During the rampant race to update the new iOS some users had some difficulty in downloading the update, but nothing that a few minutes of waiting did not solve.
The download and update can be done directly on your device, as long as it is connected to the power and wireless network, or through iTunes. Below is the list of devices that can receive iOS8:
- iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
- iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad with Retina Display, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina Display
- iPod touch (5th generation)

Message Improvements
- sending messages with voice, video and photos has never been easier - just hold the button down and then swipe;
- options for group messages, such as naming a conversation, adding or removing a contact, and leaving a conversation;
Photo Enhancements
- intelligent editing tools that allow you to adjust light and color with a simple swipe;
- detailed editing controls to regulate exposure, brightness, contrast, strong lights, shadows and more;
- search by date, location or album name, or refer to smart suggestions;
Camera Enhancements
- time-lapse mode;
- photo timer;
QuickType Keyboard
- predictive text and customized according to your writing style, which adapts depending on the recipient and the application used;
- support for third-party keyboards;
Health
- the new Health application includes an easy-to-read health bulletin with information related to health and well-being;
- the possibility of sharing health data with other applications to improve the way you take care of your health and fitness;
- add a medical record with information about allergies and other health problems, which can be accessed on the locked screen if you wish;
Sharing with the family
- share your iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases with up to six family members;
- pay family purchases with a single credit card, and approve purchase orders from the youngsters through the Request to buy feature;
iCloud Drive
- save all your documents to iCloud so you can access them from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Windows computer;
- access the same file in several compatible applications;
- changes made to a device are automatically updated on all your devices;
Continuity - true teamwork between your iPhone, iPad and Mac
- the Handoff feature lets you continue on one device what you were doing on another;
- make and receive calls, send and receive SMS or MMS messages on your iPad or Mac;
Mail Enhancements
- when writing an email you can quickly see the incoming mail - just swipe down on the draft;
Safari Enhancements
- DuckDuckGo search engine support;
- private browsing by tabs;
Quick access to important contacts in multitasking view;
Interactive notifications for Mail, Mail, Calendar, Reminders, and other compatible third-party applications;
Battery usage information for each application;
Apple also said that the availability of certain features vary from country to country, so we will see if we will have any restrictions in Angola.
