The sky is falling. Survivors Charr and Norn crawl out of the ruins of their homes on Wayfearer Fotthills and Diessa Plateau and try to find refuge south. A call is made to all volunteers to assist the victims in these times of need where heaven and earth have become the enemy.

In addition to the new stories and the modifications to the areas I have already mentioned, there will be several modifications to the game and to its system, all this for 0 Usd. Well, it's completely free and totally suppending since Guild Wars 2 does not charge a monthly fee to its players. Although this update is not an expansion, we have already seen many other games calling expansion to updates with less content and charging for it. Something that also draws attention is the fact that this update is a prelude, which leaves the idea that more updates of these will come in the near future, not knowing if they were still free or not.
"Flame and Frost: Prelude" will be available on January 28 and will bring the following changes:
- New currency for daily and monthly achievments and new items that can be purchased with that currency
- New daily and monthly rotating achiments
- Possibility to play with players from other servers
- New pvp map.
- 2vs2 pvp tournaments
- Various game improvements and balances.
