No gamer has yet had the opportunity to get their hands on any of the consoles to be released in November, the PS4 and Xbox One, but comparisons between the two are already beginning to make many letters run on technology websites and blogs.
Now Edge, a video game site, has come to add fuel to the debate over the two consoles. According to them, the 4 Playstation is back 50% faster than its rival of Microsoft, Xbox One. This information was guaranteed by several developers who say that the difference in the performance of the consoles is "significant"and "obvious".
On closer inspection, they say that PS4 memory reads data 40 to 50% faster than Xbox One and ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit - free translation) is also 50% faster.
In an example without optimizing any of the consoles and without using any as a reference, PS4 runs around 30FPS in 1920 × 1080 resolution and Xbox One only 20 and a few FPS in 1600 × 900. According to them, Microsoft knows this and seems to have increased the processing speed but that it doesn't “is significant and does not change things much". Some graphics were even classified as "horrible"On the Xbox.
But as the consoles are not yet finalized, until November a lot can still change but although Microsoft is working hard, it does not seem to be very successful because the differences are much more in hardware than in software.
