Sony has officially announced the launch date of the PlayStation TV in the USA and Canada for October 14th.
PlayStation TV is independent hardware that connects to Sony's online system, PlayStation Network and can play several games from different platforms, either PS Vita (via download or by the game card itself) or PSone and PSP. With this platform flexibility, PS TV will have more than 700 playable games on the launch day, which should arouse the interest of many users.
For those interested Sony offers two packages:
- de 100 USD: only with the device (Playstation TV)
- de 140 USD, a playstation TV, an 8GB memory card, a copy of the game “The LEGO Movie”And a DualShock 3 controller.
PlayStation 3 owners or PlayStation 4, do not need to have the feeling of exclusion, Playstation TV is compatible with both platforms. For PS3, it will use the PS Now streaming system, in the case of PS4, it will be integrated with the Remote Play functionality.
