Lenovo warns of risk of fire in laptops

A Lenovo announced the collection of portable computers that could explode. The problem is with the equipment battery, which can catch fire. The Manufacturer is offering free repair services to solve the problem detected on several models.

The potential overheating and consequent fire risk in ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptops, produced between December of 2016 and October of 2017, prompted Lenovo to launch an alert. Models with reference 20HQ, 20HR, 20K3 and 20K4 are affected.

Lenovo urges users to immediately stop using the equipment and the computers must be presented to the nearest service station. In question is a screw that when released can trigger the whole problem.

Equipment users should refer to the manufacturer's services to resolve the problem. Before you can use a page available to check if your notebook is covered.
