LG Knock code

Remember the LG's proposal that involved unlocking your smartphone with taps on the screen? Yes, it will begin to be activated in the top smartphones of the South Korean company.

According to LG, this will be a key feature in LG's smartphone models this year, including G Pro 2, G2 mini, Series III F and L. From Shelterl, LG Electronics (LG) will provide the innovative Knock Code systemTM for older smartphone models.

In certain countries, owners of the LG G2 and G Flex models will be the first to receive the Knock Code ™ update, which will allow users to access their smartphone with a personalized touch on the screen.

LG provided some more data that justified the creation of the Knock Code. According to the survey, users unlock the screen between 100 to 150 times a day. Instead of drawing patterns or codes, we can use a combination of taps anywhere on the screen.

There is even the option of using biometric sensors: facial recognition and fingerprint reading, but these sensors can perform poorly when weather conditions change. For example, facial recognition can hardly be achieved in a dark room.

The CEO and President of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Dr. Jong-seok Park, made some considerations about the innovative technology:

LG engineers in developing the Knock Code made a great effort to make this system provide users with exceptional security and to be easy to use

Making Knock Code accessible to more people meets our philosophy of making mobile phones based on user experience.
