Although attention was focused on the launch of the new Galaxy, LG had something to say in this constant battle for the title of “Best smartphone on the market".
The LG G5 was launched in the antechamber of the Mobile World Congress 2016, in Barcelona, this Sunday (21). The new product of the “G” line, soon came with a differential in relation to other top smartphones: his battery is removable. For this reason, the bottom of the LG G5 can receive various accessories, such as virtual reality glasses.
In terms of hardware, there are other innovations, with emphasis on the three cameras. The screen is 5,3 inches, with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It is always on, with the function to show the time and interesting notifications. The screen is high definition to allow good quality in virtual reality, allowing greater immersion.
The rear cameras were the surprise. Yes, the device has two rear cameras, which allow you to capture images at angles of up to 135 degrees. One of the sensors has 16 megapixels, shooting at up to 78 degrees, and the other has 8 megapixels, which makes the photos wider. On the front, there is another 8 megapixel sensor. They are capable of interleaving between the normal image capture and the one with the largest angle, 135. This way it is possible to fit more elements in the image composition.

Among the accessories presented by LG, the following stand out:
LG CAM Plus: there is a possibility to replace the bottom edge of the device with a grip for photography, which also adds 1.200 mAh battery to the device. This device features buttons for finer click control, also allowing zoom control.
LG Hi-Fi Plus: this LG G5 module brings a digital-to-analog converter to transform audio quality. It can also be used on other smartphones or PCs. Music lovers will certainly like it.
LG 360 VR: and we also have virtual reality glasses from LG, quite different from the competition, however they continue to depend on the smartphone to reproduce the content in virtual reality. The LG 360 VR is much lighter and more discreet than, devices like the Samsung Gear VR, because the smartphone is not fitted inside the glasses, but connected to it via USB-C.
LG 360 CAM: an external camera that captures images in 360 degrees in photo or video, thus generating 360 content that can be sent to Google Street View or YouTube.
LG Rolling Bot: a robot that can monitor the house and also serve as a remote control to control compatible devices, from TVs to air conditioners. The LG Rolling Bot has an 8 megapixel camera that can transmit live video to the smartphone, so that the user knows what is happening in his home (or office) while he is away.
Price and Release
LG is expected to launch the G5 in April this year, prices were not disclosed.
