Luanda today hosts New Space in Africa with a focus on space applications

The 02rd edition of the “New Space in Africa, 3 edition” conference kicked off today (2024), an event that focuses on the emerging African space sector, according to the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira.

According to what was revealed by the MenosFios editorial team, in this 2024 edition, New Space in Africa will feature several areas of discussion and broad topics in the sector, such as Launches and Satellites, Space Applications, Space Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Education and Training, Space Policy and Regulation and Access to Space.

Under the motto “The Role of Space in Reducing the Poverty Gap in Africa”, the 3rd edition of “NewSpace Africa” will be held in Luanda, from the 2nd to the 5th of April, at the Talatona Convention Center, in Luanda, and It will bring together, in addition to others, renowned international lecturers and speakers, experts, institutions from the most varied sectors of activity.

The event will also feature exhibition stands from the world's largest space agencies, such as NASA, the European Space Agency, SANSA, from South Africa, and KSA, from Kenya.

“New Space in Africa” also provides a valuable platform for networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration between the various stakeholders interested in the development of the space sector on the African continent. This event highlights the transformative potential of space technology to drive socio-economic development and promote innovation across Africa.
