Currently, batteries for top smartphones have a battery life of no more than 24 hours, when used "at maximum power", that is, accessing social networks, listening to music, making calls, in short, when we are compensating for the price of the "smartphone" ”.
But Microsoft has two ideas to solve this problem: the first involves an energy management system called E-Lupe which identifies the most energy-consuming applications and decreases their efficiency to preserve the load. The second idea is to replace the battery with two smaller ones, making one of them responsible for the most energy-consuming functions, for example: videos and games.
Microsoft is trying to optimize hardware and software for better performance. According to Ranveer Chandra, the first prototypes developed save between 20% and 50% of battery consumption.
The bad news is that this project is in the early stages and there are still no forecasts to reach the market. Surely everyone will look forward to it.
