The new agreement between Microsoft and SAP will help companies transform themselves digitally, allowing companies to leverage the security and intelligence built into the Azure, the Microsoft cloud platform, while leveraging application management and product knowledge that SAP offers.

As part of the business, SAP will place its private cloud management service called SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud to the Azure. The move will allow customers to run SAP's offering in a secure, managed cloud.
