Nowadays, the information existing in the institutions is one of its greatest assets, as there are data or information that only concern the institution and should not be available to external people who can misuse it by appropriating them.

In recent years, some public institutions in our country have shown themselves to be vulnerable to cyber attacks, among them we have the most recent cases that happened with the Sonangol, National PressAnd ITEL(Telecommunications Institute).

The newest case...

The Ministry of Finance recently communicated, according to Jornal de Angola, that the technological platform to support its activities with access to emails and shared folders was the target of a cyber attack last Thursday, February 17th, with unidentified origins and motivations.

Have other services been affected?

Fortunately not, the revenue collection systems (SIGT, ASYCUDA, Service Portal, Citizen Portal, Taxpayer Portal and Integrated State Financial Management System - SIGFE) as well as the institutional portals are in full operation.

Salary processing and State revenue collection services are among the many that have not been affected by the cyber attack, of unknown origin.

O Public Finance Information and Communication Technologies Service - SETIC is identifying the extent of the disturbance and the potential constraints caused in the jobs and supervised bodies, mainly the internal and external correspondence dematerialization program. SETIC teams have since then been continuously engaged in the solution and normalization of the e-mail system and the shared documents folder, thus mitigating the impacts of this situation on the productivity of Public Finance employees.
