[Mozambique] SADC trains magistrates to be aware of cyber crimes

Twenty magistrates and investigators linked to the Central Office for Combating Corruption (GCCC) in Mozambique were trained by the secretariat of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), to combat cybercrime.

Taking place in Matola, the pilot training action for specialists is part of Mozambique's regional cooperation with this organization, with the aim of strengthening the capacity to detect and investigate this type of crime and those related to corruption.

In the training, magistrates and investigators were equipped with additional tools to effectively seize, collect and transport electronic evidence, as well as the national and international legal framework on cybercrime, related to the processing of crime investigation processes. corruption and related issues.

Mozambique is a member of SADC and State Party to the Protocol against corruption, having ratified it through Resolution 33.2004, of July 9.
