Mozambique: Vodacom has new Director General

Simon Karikari is the new General Manager of Vodacom Mozambique, according to an announcement by the mobile operator on social media.

According to the company's official statement, it informs that Karikari is from Ghana and has the foundations of his career in the financial area, where he has worked in Retail and in health services in the United Kingdom.

In the telecommunications sector, the manager began his activity in 2013, when he was appointed Finance Director of Millicom Africa, and joins Vodacom from Millicom Tigo in Tanzania, where he held the position of CEO.

During that time, Simon was instrumental in supporting the Milicom Group in its Mergers and Acquisitions strategy, and led the sale of Millicom's Tanzanian operations to Axian.

It should be noted that Vodacom Moçambique is a Mozambican company that started operating in Mozambique in December 2003 and whose main objective is to offer a high quality, reliable mobile network and, through new communication technologies, bring everything good to Mozambique.
