The debate about smart watches is not new. Forget this Apple Vs Samsung dispute, Sony thought and made a decent smart watch, away from the spotlight.
So far, smart watches have not received such a "warm" reception from the market, the most enthusiastic have, test, use ... but, companies want a return on investment, they will not get it only with enthusiasts (unless they are enthusiasts in China. )
With Android Wear ad, an operating system suited for wearable devices, manufacturers saw a chance to transform the market for smart watches with truly revolutionary ideas. Practical example: Motorola and its Smart watch the Moto 360.
No technical specifications were revealed, we can not confirm if the hardware will have the same capacity as the Samsung Neo 2 or the Sony Smartwatch 2, but in one thing Motorola was right, the smart clock concept. The structure is similar to that of a classic clock, but the functions will not be anything classic:
- Get Directions (Via Google Maps)
- Get weather information
- Synchronizing with the calendar
- Integration with the personal assistant, Google Now.
- Multi Sensor Compatibility
Finally, an integration with several Google services that will surely turn these watches into "something else".
Maybe it's just fireworks, maybe we're hurrying up, and this project, which should be released by the end of 2014, may not be as good, but it's worth taking a chance.
