Forty percent of the Angolan delegation's inventions and technological solutions at the 72nd edition of the Ideas, Inventions and New Products Fair (iENA 2021), in the city of Nuremberg, Germany, and where our country won eight medals, were authored by women .

This information came from the national delegation present at the event, where it participated with 15 projects registered, with the respective percentage authored by women or co-authored by men and women from higher education institutions, in the areas of Mechatronics and Electrical and Computer Engineering .

This percentage value of 40% of the female gender represented 18% less, compared to 58% in the previous edition, where the delegation explains that this was due to the reduction in support for participation in the event, which influenced the registration of few projects.

It was also revealed that 80% of the projects carried out at iENA 2021 were conceived in Higher Education institutions, namely in the universities Agostinho Neto, Methodist of Angola and Mandume Ya Ndemufayo, in addition to the Research Center of the University Agostinho Neto (UNINET).
