The safety officer of the Facebook, Alex Stamos, has announced that it will stop working on the social network, and the company may leave its place unoccupied. The company has no plans to name a successor, which some may consider a controversial decision for a company with major privacy issues.
The publication only came to confirm something said in January, when it revealed that Facebook's security team would be dissolved and will no longer be an autonomous group. Former team members will work more closely with the other product and engineering teams.
