O Rift is a device for virtual reality developed by Oculus VR. which was initially proposed in a campaign in which the company presented the proposal for its development.
The Rift will be launched in the first quarter of 2016, becoming one of the first consumer-oriented virtual reality headsets, which will feature a resolution of 1080 x 1200 per eye, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a wide field of vision.

For proper operation Rift must be connected by a cable to a PC running Microsoft Windows that will run the software (which is not a stand-alone device). This computer must be equipped with a powerful GPU at least equivalent to a GTX 970 NVIDIA or AMD 290, and a CPU at least equivalent to Intel i5-4590.
