During recent times the Virtual Reality have offered many expectations around the developers and end users. It should be noted that companies such as Oculus, Samsung and HTC already have their virtual reality devices already on the market.

It would be surprising that a company like Google was not working on it, but on the first day of the conference I / O 2016  the company ensured that it was developing a VR device, thus ending all the rumors that existed around it.

Google was clear in saying that its approach to VR will depend on its smartphones, which can be considered as a strategy to capture the market. Based on the design illustrated in the image above, the Daydream headset is a very simple step made from cardboard, made to attach a smartphone to a front slot that locks at the top.

The idea of the company is to bring a device of low cost, different from those already launched in the market. Google is working with developers such as ARM, Qualcomm, MediaTek and Imagination Technologies. For phones, Google ensures that it is working with HTC, ZTE, Huawei, Asus, Xiaomi, Alcatel, LG and Samsung and are all planning to have VR on their Android phones ready.

Finally, on the software side, Google announced partnerships with HBO, Ubisoft, and the NBA to create virtual reality applications for Daydream. To keep in mind that one of the things that impressed in the presentation of this device was the control that looks like a small television command.
