A OpenAI have decided to transcribe the content of millions of hours of YouTube videos in order to train the GPT-4 version of your Artificial Intelligence (AI), says the New York Times.
The North American publication even states that OpenAI created a tool – called Whisper – in order to speed up the transcription of these videos. Despite being aware that the use of these videos could be legally questionable, OpenAI still believed that it would not pose any problem.
BUT: Microsoft and OpenAI team up to build new supercomputer
It is worth remembering that, recently, the CEO of YouTube warned that using videos on the platform to train AIs is a violation of its terms of use.
