More than 20 thousand Angolans have already benefited from the service Connect Angola, which comes to promote the digital inclusion of communities and reduce the gap in access to Information and Communication Technologies between inhabitants of urban areas and those in remote areas.

According to the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, the “Conecta Project” is a great lever for increasing digital literacy and bringing populations living in remote areas closer to the central bodies of State administration and the support for education and teaching.

The leader highlighted that the “Conecta Angola” project will soon be launched in the province of Moxico.

BUT: Conecta Angola will reach several provinces in the coming months

The “Conecta Angola” project was developed from a satellite communications solution through a low-cost rural communications network, and is managed by the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN).

The project is a partnership between INFRASAT, GGPEN and ANGOLA TELECOM, whose objective is to reach the entire country in the near future.
