The Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) has a robust technical platform, capable of responding to any cyber attack on its system, according to the words of the Executive Director for the Technical Area, João Amadeu Macuéria Simão.
According to the administrator, who was speaking at ANGOP's Vth Extended Advisory Board, the technical support system of the same platform is equipped to ensure the broadcast of all its contents in case of any attempt to cyber attack its system, whether national or international.
João Amadeu Macuéria Simão also informed that most of the cyber attacks that the ANGOP platform has suffered are external, although internal attacks have been registered recently.

The Administrator was speaking on the second day of the event, in one of the forum sessions with the theme “The importance of technologies in journalistic work”, where he also emphasized that, with regard to modernization, the focus is on training staff.
The intention, adds Macuéria Simão, is to provide professionals, especially journalists, with technical bases to not only produce texts, but also videos and photographs.
"Each professional must be able to access new knowledge to raise their level and improve the work provided. ”, he said.
ANGOP's Vth Extended Advisory Council runs until Thursday, and with the presence of Menos Fios at the event, it aims to balance the execution of the last event and outline strategies to improve coverage at the level of municipalities and communes, and coverage of elections general, planned for 2022.
