Information that is already in the public domain: The next generation of wireless networks will be called 6 Wi-Fi, based on the standard. IEEE 802.11ax, enables next-generation Wi-Fi connectivity. This ninth release will provide the capacity, coverage, and performance required by users, even in dense environments such as stadiums and other public places.
A Wi-Fi Alliance announcement, the organization that oversees the implementation of the Wi-Fi standard, is launching its official Wi-Fi 6 certification program. This may seem boring, but it means that the Wi-Fi 6 standard is really ready to be used, and companies of technology will soon be able to announce their products - mainly new ones - as certified to adequately support Wi-Fi 6.
Second Kevin Robinson (Responsible for marketing for the Wi-Fi Alliance), the new standard includes several new technologies that combine to make Wi-Fi more efficient. This is particularly important due to the number of devices we all have today - it is not uncommon for a family to have a dozen or more devices connected to a Wi-Fi network at one time. "The domestic scenario today looks like yesterday's dense deployment."

New features:
- Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) of uplink increases efficiency and reduces latency for high demand environments;

- Enhanced media access control (MAC) signaling increases throughput and throughput, reducing latency;
- Increased symbol durations make external network operations more robust.
