September 13 was marked by the Meet.Us event (), the meeting of Angolan programmers. The activity was carried out at Instituto Superior Metropolitano and the organization was the responsibility of the Angodev community. Programmers (and enthusiasts) were able to meet and exchange experiences. If you were not present, stay tuned to find out everything that happened.

1st speaker: Sousa Gaspar, with the theme “ORM with PHP the right way"

The speaker explained about ORM (Object Relational Mapper), a relational object mapping technique that makes it possible to relate objects to the data they represent. The focus of the presentation was to get it right and not just get it to work. It was possible to receive notions of good practices when working with PHP.

2nd speaker: Dizando Norton, with the theme “Developer Community"

Alone we can get to the top, but together we can get there much more quickly. It is in this spirit that the speaker showed what is a community, the types of (virtual) communities that exist in Angola, also presenting success stories. He also focused on the advantages of working in communities and pointed out ways to further develop communities in Angola so that we could gain more space even at the international level.

3rd speaker: Keven Chantre, with the theme “The process of developing electronic games"

Whoever thought that to develop a game it was enough to know some programming language and to start for the action, had a little surprise. The speaker pointed out what it takes to enter this world of electronic games, explaining that it is necessary to have a team that can work on the graphics, have innovative ideas and a lot of patience and focus to develop the games. The speaker showed how to take the first steps in the design of an electronic game.

4th speaker: Patrício dos Santos, with the theme “Git - The indispensable tool for any developer"

If you are a developer and have already lost a project because you did not back up, then you missed a big talk. If you work in a group and need to do version control, you also missed a great lecture. The speaker showed how Git can solve the situations mentioned in the beginning. With practical demonstrations of how to install / configure / use Git the speaker clarified the audience about the usefulness of this tool available for all traditional platforms.
