The next iPhone should only be announced by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in September 2024, but, until then, it is natural that some rumors will begin to circulate and, who knows, even leaks of information. This seems to be the case with the news shared by the MacRumors website, which shared images of alleged prototypes of Apple's next cell phone – known for now as iPhone 16.

Judging by these images, Apple appears to be experimenting with different variations of its back face, even changing the camera module – with the two sensors being oriented vertically as on the iPhone 12, instead of diagonally as on the iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and iPhone 15.

The volume buttons appear to also undergo some changes, with Apple now opting for a single unified button instead of the two that iPhone users have had at their disposal.

Naturally, these prototypes do not serve as confirmation of the iPhone 16's design, but are just a sign that Apple may be experimenting with some changes before deciding to go with a final 'look'.
