The President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, today appointed the new members of the Executive, where Mário Augusto da Silva Oliveira was chosen to occupy the position of Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), replacing Manuel Homem .
With a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Agostinho Neto University and the University of Porto (Portugal), until now Mário Augusto da Silva Oliveira was Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, a position he held for the last two years, since April 2020.
According to investigations carried out by the editorial staff of MenosFios, Mário Augusto da Silva Oliveira has a wide range of expertise in the area of telecommunications and technologies, since he became Director of the Engineering Office of MSTelcom in 2012, and until 2015 he was a member of the Board of Directors and Member of the Executive Committee of the said company.
It should also be noted that the new Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies became an aircraft maintenance planning technician at Sonair and a Telecommunications technician at the Directorate of the General Staff of FAPLA in his early career, as well as being a professor of Physics at the Mutu School Ya Kevela, in the country's capital.
