Information has emerged that the Samsung to launch smartphones with foldable screen in year of 2016, which did not happen. But now there is again information that the company may launch in the year of 2017 this smartphone with foldable screen
According to the information source, Samsung is working on a phone with a flexible screen that unfolds in a tablets of 7 inches, it is expected that more than 100.000 units will be available during the third quarter of this year.
Samsung has shown an interest in flexible phones. The presentation of Samsung patents for smartphones with this technology started in 2015, where design concepts for smartphones that were not only foldable, but also those that can be rolled up like a scroll were disclosed.
Therefore, folding a device would give the company a smaller, more portable package to be transported, and could essentially double the screen size. But the project also presents technical obstacles. A living example is rigid parts, such as circuit boards, different internal configurations will have to be used or be made to bend slightly.
