But it seems that Samsung intends to go further, according to ETNews, the company gave samples to Apple and Google. The one delivered to Apple has a 7,2 inch folding panel and is perfect for a smartphone format.

"Samsung Display" has been a supplier to Apple and other smartphone manufacturers. The company produces the screens OLED for Apple's high-end iPhone models, for example. Now, it appears that Samsung hopes to supply folding screens to Apple, signaling that it does not plan to keep the folding technology a secret and may even become the main supplier of such technology in the industry.

A Samsung may produce about 2,4 million units per year at the moment, but is expected to increase to 10 million units per year. Apple, which has patented foldable smartphone concepts and is reportedly developing a foldable iPhone, is likely to need a supplier who can handle huge orders.
