Samsung leaks its own confidential data using ChatGPT

The last few months have been marked by the rise of ChatGPT as a work tool, at the same time that several entities have been alerting to potential security vulnerabilities in the Artificial Intelligence tool.

Well, say the Mashable site that Samsung's semiconductor division allows workers to use ChatGPT – a decision that ultimately resulted in the company sharing secret information on at least three occasions. A worker will have even used the Chat GPT to check confidential programming code for errors, with another even requesting that the code in question be optimized.

After becoming aware of these situations, the Samsung it will have given orders to limit the sharing of information with ChatGPT to 1.024 characters or 1kb. In addition, investigations of the workers in question were also ordered.
