At an event that took place in Lubango, Huíla province, those present stressed that this fringe of society needs more attention, in order to meet this challenge, which needs a feminine look.

For Wínia Agostinho, director of Mediateca do Lubango, the need for companies to give more importance to gender balance in their teams, mainly in teaching, so that it brings a different vision to solving problems and creating solutions in the technological universe.

In their speeches, they appealed to the living forces of society, the creation of an environment where women can realize their true potential, as well as allowing teenagers to become true scientists and agents of innovation, that is, shaping a fair and sustainable future. for all.

To reverse the situation, the participants maintain, it is pertinent to count on the support of women to guarantee that science and technology work for everyone, with policies that find classrooms with girls who study technology, physics, engineering, mathematics and other sciences.

They recalled that there is a direct connection between the low levels of women working in Artificial Intelligence and gender bias algorithms, which treat men as the standard and women as the exception.
