A SendSprint Technology Solutions, an innovative payments startup, has just been launched recently in the United Kingdom (UK) with a service aimed at the African Diaspora, which represents around 1,7 million people across that territory.

The arrival of its services in the UK is in partnership with Flutterwave, Africa's leading payments technology company, which provides the infrastructure to enable fintech to process cross-border transactions.

SendSprint Technology Solutions' products will connect the African Diaspora with loved ones at home, and is introducing its money transfer service sendsprint, as well as the Sprint Connect to the market – a donation solution that connects the African diaspora with retailers across the continent.

So far, fintech offers three destination countries for senders, namely Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa, and where it is expected that in the first 18 months, SendSprint is targeting 300.000 UK customers.

The arrival in the UK thus represents the first step in fintech's international plans, as it intends to expand to the United States and Canada in the coming months.

The product Send Money from SendPrint, is a reliable and affordable solution that solves a financial problem for the African diaspora, providing a $5 (about £4,10) flat fee experience for money transfers as opposed to a sliding scale from other providers, favorable exchange rates with real-time transaction monitoring and 24/7 customer service support.

Fintech's exclusive product, Sprint Connect, is specifically designed for the African diaspora, as its product catalog is made possible by aggregating partnerships with more than 3.000 retailers in the three African countries.

Partner retailers include Shoprite, Game, Jumia, Filmhouse Cinema, St Nicholas Hospital and Healthplus pharmacies, among others. The product allows customers to send gift cards to recipients in Africa for everyday purchases such as groceries, fashion and beauty products and healthcare, reflecting the cultural nuance in how remittances are used at home.
