Currently, the ANGOTIC 2018 , which promises to be one of the largest in Africa, with the confirmation of several international guests and top national figures in the sector. The forum is being held in Luanda between the 19 and 21 days of June of 2018.
During the first day of this forum, José Carvalho da Rocha (Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology) informed the press that his Ministry is redirecting telecommunication services for the compensation signal, under the agreement of the Angosat-1 with Russia.
The same guaranteed that since April 23 of the current year this exercise of redirecting services that were based on other operators for the compensation of Angosat-1 is being carried out, in accordance with an agreement with the Russian side. He also said that other programs, such as telemedicine, are also being coupled, thus addressing the concern presented by the President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Loureço, about the Internet in schools, among other programs.
Finally, José Carvalho da Rocha said that all services provided by Angola's first geostationary satellite will be carried out normally, despite the technical constraints registered at Angosat-1.
