A startup KUBETA was the big winner of the 4nd edition of the digital contest Unitel Go Challenge, held this afternoon (20) and broadcast on TPA 01 public channel.
About the winner of the contest, it is a platform where professionals and specialists from different areas can earn money by teaching what they know and where anyone can take specializations, courses, certifications and improve their CV to get the best opportunities.
One of the main objectives of this startup is to allow easy sharing of knowledge between those who know and those who need to learn. To this end, the platform focuses on bringing together diverse educational content in a single space, reducing the need for students to travel who, in some circumstances, need to travel long distances to complete courses that can be taught virtually.
According to the project's founder, Nuno Baio, the startup has been working to ensure that Kubeta's products will be available in all Portuguese-speaking African countries in the near future. The objective, he highlights, is to allow citizens of these countries to purchase products using their own currencies.
As prizes, the KUBETA will receive 4 million kwanzas, one year of incubation at UNITEL Go, acceleration program and access to the UNITEL accelerator, 5 laptops per startup, 1 year of free telecommunications, publicity on UNITEL and partner media channels.
The startup Geostratos was the big winner in the innovation category, while the best project in social responsibility went to the startup CEU.
The UNITEL GO Challenge is a digital business competition, due to the fact that 70% of the evaluation criteria are linked to business management, such as the operationalization of the business, and the creation of teams with economic viability.
The concept of the competition revolves around the premise that “any programmer can develop a front office, but only a robust Startup can develop a sustainable business”.
