The StartupAngola Association held the event “StartupDojo Luanda - Edition of July / 06” on 07/13, an informal monthly meeting that aims to present and share ideas from startups, business models, debates, studies, training of teams, networking and development of web and mobile applications. All this for 5 intense hours in an atmosphere of digital entrepreneurship. The location was the GBT Training Center, which housed more 20 people attending the event.
Early on, there was an "OpenTalk" session on Startups, Business Models, and analysis of various success stories. This was followed by Nelson Dias's Fresh Minds Angola about communication and marketing for startups, with the theme "Ready to Start?", Also had another talk entitled" Team Leadership in Startups "presented by Tala-Hady Silva of THS.
And as Dojo that is Dojo has to have "fight", the last two hours were reserved for the CodingDojo that was in charge of the KindelBit. CEO Giovanni Lima introduced the company and spoke about Aquarium, a web tool for managing software development projects that will be launched soon in “opensource” with a main focus on the Angolan developer community, in order to massify the programming activity itself / development in the country ..
The last two hours of the event were reserved for a LiveCoding session which featured several tips and tricks for mobile application development on the iOS and Android platforms. At the end of the event we had the result! An Android application developed live where it is possible to have access to information about the StartupDojo event. Tested on-site in .apk format on a Samsung Galaxy SIII mobile phone.
The event was beneficial, because it served to connect people, inspire ideas, network and mainly to promote a little more the “startup culture” among the people of Luanda and it is intended to reach more points in the city and the country.
