Samsung presented yesterday at MWC 2015 some of its new products. Among them are the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. What these smartphones have again?
Design
As expected, these new releases are all metal.
- Galaxy S6 : a very thin smartphone (thickness), with a front and rear camera (as is common), action buttons on the sides and the front button. That is, without changes in this regard.
- Galaxy S6 Edge : it has a thickness greater than the Galaxy S6 and, as the name says, the screen reaches the side of the smartphone, a concept similar to that of the Samsung Note Egde.
Gold, white and black are the colors chosen by Samsung for the launch of the two smartphones. The screen uses technology Corning Gorilla Glass 4 (a more advanced version - disclosed as fall-proof).
Hardware
Processor with 64-bit architecture. 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screens with Quad HD resolution. Compatibility for Gear VR, the virtual reality device, has been added.
Always important, the battery has been the target of improvements, which promises processing speed and energy that lasts all day. But the novelty is the implementation of the super fast charging feature, with only 10 minutes in the socket to recharge energy for up to 4 hours.
Wireless, wireless charging is already a reality on this smartphone (did Samsung finally decide to hear our name and bring “less wires”?)
The camera is also a highlight: the rear has 16 megapixels, with image stabilization and f / 1.9 lens. HDR mode has been improved, as well as the ability to record images in low light. The front camera has 5 megapixels.
To withstand so much image quality, it is necessary to have storage space, so versions in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB will be available (Except that there will be no memory cards.
Software
The graphical interface of TouchWiz has been changed, reminiscent of the "pure" android. The organization of the interface is done in different colors. In camera functions, a shortcut menu shows all the functions the user needs, without "scrolling" the screen to this: focus, light input and more.
Samsung promises that the Galaxy S6's security against hackers and viruses is guaranteed with the Samsung Knox feature.
Release Date
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be available in a double launch from the April 10 in 20 countries (not yet announced, but generally Angola is not on these lists)
