A UNITEL, will hold on the 20th of October, the final of the 8th edition of the UNITEL GO Challenge 2023 competition. Launched on the 20th of March for all entrepreneurs and developers in Angola, as well as for Angolans residing in the diaspora.
The UNITEL GO Challenge gives competitors the opportunity to present their startups individually or in groups of up to 5 people, and it is also mandatory to submit a functional prototype (e.g. mobile application, website or other digital technology).
Of the more than 300 businesses submitted for evaluation, 10 were selected for the final, which will be broadcast live on the “Janela Aberta” program on Televisão Pública de Angola:
- BANTUMEN – Digital communication platform founded in Angola, dedicated to connection
and empowerment of the Portuguese-speaking Afro-descendant community. - CEU (Unene University Student Card) Digital Wallet that has the help of a physical Multicaixa Card, which serves as an identification card for University students and which gives access to discounts within a network of partners.
- COMPRARA – Marketplace specialized in domestic shopping that allows users to compare prices between different supermarkets and receive products wherever they are.
- FAZENDA ESCOLA – Agro-educational and digital platform, developed with
the objective of providing a day-to-day experience on a farm for primary school children. - GEOSTRATOS – Angolan startup dedicated to providing consultancy services in
Applied Geoscience to support decision-making, combined with the dissemination and popularization of the national Geological and Tourism potential. - I.MK – Online platform for training and certification of professionals in the areas of marketing and access to tools with artificial intelligence support. Its vision is to be an internationally recognized network of marketing consultants.
- KOOLPIX Fotos – Innovative application in Angola where customers directly download their photos and they are printed in the simplest, most beautiful and lightest frames.
- KUBETA – Platform where professionals and specialists from different areas can earn
money by teaching what they know and where anyone can take specializations, courses, certifications and improve their CV to get the best opportunities. - VC CARE specialized services aimed at seniors and individuals with permanent or temporary limitations.
- WISEVEST – Fintech that allows the purchase and subscription of financial products in a simple, fast and secure way, available anytime and anywhere.
The deals were sent by email from March 20 to April 21, 2023, to carry out the screening process, for the subsequent phases, until the final classification.

- 4 M KZ for the Winning Startup and 1 year of incubation at UNITEL Go
- Acceleration Program and access to the UNITEL accelerator

- Disclosure on UNITEL Media channels and partners
The UNITEL GO Challenge is a digital business competition, due to the fact that 70% of the evaluation criteria are linked to business management, such as the operationalization of the business, and the creation of teams with economic viability.
The concept of the competition revolves around the premise that “any programmer can develop a front office, but only a robust Startup can develop a sustainable business”.
