Since September this year, Unitel has been preparing its infrastructure for the launch of the 5G service and improving the offer of its products, according to the company's official statement, which came to the writing of Menos Fios.
5G technology is a faster mobile internet network, up to 10 gigabytes per second, with a latency (delay) of 10 ms (milliseconds) for downloads and uploads, giving wider coverage and more stable connections.
By betting on this technology, UNITEL wants to use the best radio spectrum and allow more devices of its users to have access to the mobile internet at the same time, and in a first phase it will be more available in the country's urban centers.

According to the national mobile telephony operator, to meet the growing demand for its services and in line with the strategy of continuous improvement of signal access and progressive quality of services provided to the customer, it is currently carrying out a series of actions in Luanda, Benguela and Kwanza Sul.
According to UNITEL, this work, particularly for Luanda, may temporarily affect the operation of voice and data services in the areas of Viana, Kilamba Kiaxi and Talatona, where in this first phase of the project, which runs until the end of the year, interventions are being carried out from 8:30 am to 18 pm.
The operator continues, state-of-the-art radio equipment is being installed to increase the offer of 3G, 4G and 4.5G services, which will include more than 400 locations with the operator's antennas. The installation of the same began in Luanda, extending until the end of the year, with Benguela and Cuanza-Sul only taking place in December.
