The action is the fulfillment of a promise made in 2019 by the Vice President of the Republic, on the sidelines of the VI Forum on the Quality of Higher Education, in which Bornito de Sousa participated at the invitation of the Association of Private Angolan Higher Education Institutions and exchanged views about concepts associated with technological transformations in the modern world.

At the meeting, the vice president took note of some needs of students and finalists from some universities and promised to give support and as Huawei is a technology company and a strong partner of the State, using the acts of social responsibility donated the computers to the Vice Presidency. the students from Benguela. 

For a university student, Wilza Santana, electronic equipment represents the fulfillment of a Government promise and is very grateful for the fact that the vice president did not forget the meeting held in 2019. “The computers we will use in academic activities and we promise to take good care of them ”, maintained a young student.

The equipment brought from Luanda by the advisers to the Vice-President of the Republic was delivered in the presence of the governor of Benguela, Rui Falcão, who also witnessed the offer of a computer to the municipal governor of Lobito so that the traditional authority can now schedule its meetings in Ombala using your Laptop and take advantage of information and communication technologies. The representative of Huawei, Nilton Roque, made it known, on the sidelines of the act, that “the gesture took shape during a meeting given to the board of directors of Huawei by the Vice President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, who revealed the commitment assumed with some students at the country level in 2019 so we embraced the project and made it happen ”.

"We would have liked to have done it before, in 2020, but for reasons that were beyond our control because of Covid-19 we postponed. Therefore, we arrange this opportunity. Regarding mr. Soba, from now on you will take advantage of new technologies, and at the next meeting facilitate the work using new equipment donated by the vice president with support from Huawei”, Said the Huawei representative.
