It took place between 30 days from October to 4 of November in 2ª edition of the workshop on IPV6 carried out by AAPSI. With a positive level of achievement, 150 technicians have been trained, who are now enabled to implement the Internet Protocol (IPv6) and Network Security.

Second Sílvio Almada (President of AAPSI), this training represents another important step in the strategy of building a digital economy, with these trained technicians, we are prepared to follow the development of the sector, because we no longer run the risk of running out of IP addresses .

At the time, Xunu Pinto Aragon (MSTelcom), And Nádia da Costa Ribeiro (VdA Legal Partners) emphasized the treatment that this theme has deserved at the level of the European Union and Africa, highlighting the fact that Angola has already adopted legislation on matters related to the security of national cyberspace. Despite the existence of this law that provides for preventive measures and response to security incidents affecting the Internet in the country, the players of the sector still complain about the need for coordination and harmonization to ensure the security of national cyberspace.

According to Law 7 / 17 of February 16, any individual who adopts or omits conducts the conduct provided for in the legislation and thereby jeopardizes the national cybersecurity is subject to pay a fine that varies between one million to two hundred million Kwanzas. In the case of legal persons, the value rises to four hundred million.

Nádia da Costa Ribeiro, said that cybercrime has very high costs for economies, from the developed to the developing ones. It is therefore important that all countries create their strategy and legislation to protect their cyberspace.

Will this law be enforced?
