Volkswagen is deepening its relationship with Apple, relative to its application VW Car-Net. Users of the iOS they can now use Siri to lock and unlock the car, check the mileage estimation with vehicle fuel and activate the alarms. Volkswagen owners can use Siri to start and stop a session of loading their electric car or to power on the defroster. They can also set a specific temperature and locate your car. However, the Cart-Net it's not free for all VW owners: the app costs a specific subscription fee per month.

It allows vehicle owners to identify the location of their cars, set a geographic boundary and access diagnostics remotely. The Shortcuts feature is particularly interesting, especially if users can develop a morning routine around it. You can even imagine people in cold areas, and remotely turn on your defroster and set the internal temperature, so doing everything in one step may not save you a lot of time, but in the long run, it's a good resource.

Apple released the Siri Shortcuts with iOS 12, which is required for this new functionality of Volkswagen. So far we have not seen anything really impressive, but features like this make it clear that while this may not revolutionize our lives, it can make certain application actions easier
