A WebSummit is back from next month, where for the 2021 edition it will be staged in the already usual city of Lisbon, Portugal, from the 1st to the 4th of November.

What is considered one of the most important world events in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation returns for another in-person event, after the move to digital in 2020, due to the restrictions imposed by the new Coronavirus pandemic, and where the Portuguese capital returns to to be the home of the Web Summit and, for that reason, thousands of people from different countries around the world will be in the city.

Several big names will be at the event, such as Frances Haugen, a whistleblower from Facebook, who will be one of the faces present at the Altice Arena, on November 1st. Other names present on the opening day are Ayo Tometi, Co-Founder of the Black Lives Matter movement, which gained worldwide visibility after the death of George Floyd in the US, as well as representatives of the Portuguese government, such as the Minister of Business and Foreign Affairs, Pedro Siza Viera and Carlos Moedas, President of Lisbon City Council.

For the 2021 edition, which is expected to attract more than 40 participants to Parque das Nações, it will focus on social issues and themes and where 75 startups will participate in the Road 2 Web Summit.
