If you've ever been in the situation of getting a long voicemail when it wasn't convenient and you didn't have time to listen to it, then the WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will please you.
According to the WABetaInfo website, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will be able to transcribe the audio content and turn it into a text message. Apparently, this transcription will be carried out by the device itself, so there is no risk of Facebook or WhatsApp accessing the contents of the message.
I've reached 100k followers some hours ago. To celebrate this event, I've published an article about voice message transcription, the next WhatsApp feature available in a future update. 🎤
Other changes about #WhatsApp will be announced here soon. thanks again #100k 💚 https://t.co/3vEPgwfmsN pic.twitter.com/e2cv3Rpi0v

The configuration of transcribing the audios will be optional, and it should be suitable for those who are not used to or do not like to communicate by voice messages. When the message is transcribed, text content is saved locally in the WhatsApp database, this is an advantage since you will only need to perform the procedure once and when you want to review the message, just locate it in the chat.
WABetaInfo mentioned that there is no information about the availability of the feature for Android at the moment. In development for iOS, it may take a while to be released publicly, according to the site.
This would be another update to improve users' experience regarding voice messages sent and received by the app. At the end of May, WhatsApp launched a feature that allowed it to speed up the playback speed of audios received by the application.
