O WhatsApp appears to be making some changes to its desktop version, with the WABetaInfo website reporting some of the changes that are planned.
Among these changes is a slight change in the tone of the dark theme of the 'web' version, which aims to save the eyes from excessive lighting at night. The WhatsApp navigation sidebar on 'desktop' should also undergo some changes, with a repositioning of icons to facilitate navigation.

Note that these changes are already present in the beta version of WhatsApp for desktop, so it will only be a matter of time before they are available to users of the final version.
